WALES

We have decided to have a week in Wales for our holiday - have not been to Wales for many years - last time we stayed near Barry (South Wales) - This time we are going North - I also want to stay in a Castle (that will be grand) and hopeful of visiting Portmerrion (did I spell that right) as appeared in "The Prisoner" always said I would go but never did so its about time.

They said we were going to have a good summer and it seemed like they got it right - but today not been so good - the English weather!!!

We shall also take a day out on one of the steam trains - but what else can we do in North Wales - if you have any ideas of places to visit please let me know.

HELLO WORLD

1) Is there anyone out there? No this is not sci-fi - I thought I would just ask the question as this is my first attempt at a blog which my friend very kindly helped me set up (thank you H).
2) Today is June 12th - and its a Friday - I think Friday is always the best day of the week because it is the start of the weekend.
3)I think I am meant to put my interests and something about me etc here so here goes.

My Loves are Travelling and theatre, musicals, music, dance, I live on the South Coast very near to the BIC which is fantastic because I get to see all the acts that come to Bournemouth live - although they do not all come here and I have to go up to London like the 02 to see those that do not come here.

I moved down here in 2007 - to look after my Mum - I am a Carer - cannot think of a better job than looking after my Mum - although I used to live and work in London and worked my way up from being a Secretary to a Personal Assistant, Office Manager, Personnel Officer, Company Secretary and Managing Director - so I kind of opted out a bit earlier than expected to look after my Mum - although I always did want to retire early so I have given up the "rat race" some people say do I miss it - to those I always reply do I miss getting up early in the morning, racing round, trying to catch trains, buses, strap hanging most of the way - all the things that happen in the mornings like leaves on the tracks or cattle that stop trains moving - do I miss rushing round like lunatic all day the answer to all these questions is NO I do not miss it. I do however miss the friends I have in London and the meetings for lunch or coffee after work and quick chats - but then most of my friends have had the same idea and are moving out of London to the coast or further. One of my friends K - is going to live in Australia, F in Spain, M is in Brazil,

I can now take a walk by the beach, on a summers day can sit and watch sunset - and London is always not far away l hour 40 on the train (if it is running to time).

I chose Queen B because I liked it as a name and not for any other reason before you ask!

Okay that is my first blog I hope its not my last - Have a great weekend if your watching!
